Gate Operator Repair
Upstate South Carolina
When your gate stops working, we diagnose fast and give you an honest answer on repair versus replacement.
Gate not working? Most issues are fixable. Some aren’t. We’ll tell you which.
When a gate stops responding, the cause is usually one of a handful of things: a bad control board, a failed motor, a dead battery in a remote, a misaligned safety sensor, a damaged keypad, or wiring that has been chewed by rodents or shorted by water intrusion. We service most major automatic gate operator brands in the Upstate — including Ghost Controls and most major brands — and we’ll diagnose the actual root cause instead of throwing parts at the system.
Some repairs are quick — replacing a sensor, reprogramming a remote, swapping a relay on the board. Others involve enough labor and parts cost that replacing the whole operator is the smarter long-term move, especially on systems older than 10 years. Either way, we’ll give you the numbers and let you make the call. No upsells, no scare tactics.

Burned-out motors, stripped gears, seized linear actuators. Sometimes rebuildable, sometimes not.
Sensor & Safety Issues
Photo eye alignment, edge sensor failures, obstruction false-triggers — common after storms.
Keypad & Remote Problems
Keypad not accepting codes, remotes not reaching the gate, intermittent signal issues.
Common questions
How fast can you come out for a gate repair?
For Upstate customers we usually schedule a diagnostic visit within a few business days, and sooner for security-critical commercial properties. Call us and we’ll work it in.
Should I repair my old gate operator or replace it?
Depends on age, brand, and what failed. If the operator is over 10 years old and the motor or control board is gone, replacement is usually the better long-term move. We’ll give you the math.
Do you repair gates you didn’t install?
Yes — most of our repair work is on gates installed by someone else. We service the major brands regardless of who did the original install.
